Emotional affairs, engaged couples or even married couples have a lot of ups and downs in their love life. These may have a number of reasons such as insecurities, busy schedules or… cheating on their partner.
One of the biggest reason for breakups in this day and age is deception. Deceiving your partner has been the foremost reason why people started using the lie detectors. Partners can be deceived through Lying, infidelity, not being able to meet the financial responsibilities etc. which leads to a lack of communication between the partners pushing them away. The use of technology and being glued to social media is also a reason why couples are losing interest in their partner too soon.
The use of Lie detectors was introduced recently where couples were asked a number of questions independently to figure out if they were lying and it would help them decide if their partner was lying to them too.
A lie detector can only help to find out if your partner is lying to you but is the least bit helpful in testing whether your partner is still in love with you or they love somebody else. Since the emotion is subjective and there is no foolproof way to find out the answer. Love is pretty much subjective so the lie detector cannot objectively tell you the answer to love but can help in revealing any lies that your partner may be telling you to hide an external affair or being dishonest with you at any level. So you can catch your partner but if the relationship at already damaged then it would only make it worse.
It can be seen that the lie detector is only used when the situation is almost out of control already. One or both of the partners in the emotional affair have already lost their trust in their partner and just want a piece of solid evidence to prove their significant other as a cheater. A lie detector cannot point out a cheating partner but helps the two figure out whether they trust each other enough after the test to carry the relationship any further or should they part ways on a good note. The lie detector can help you find out if they were lying on being on a date on a particular day or what they were doing on a certain time on a certain day. But that is the most that the polygraph examiner can help in an emotional affair.
The use of a lie detector can establish if the partners have trust issues and can also ask a damaging tool for both of them if they did trust each other and the lie detector identified the situation otherwise … oops! That did turn out too right!
